Amazing experience!

This tour was amazing! I wanted to explore the island instead of just sitting at a pool somewhere. We were showed all varieties of neighborhoods and administrative buildings. We explored several stops on our tour. Our favorite was our beach trip to Banana Bay. Absolutely stunning and not crowded at all. Charlie is the BEST tour guide. He knows everything about the island and answered all of our questions. I would definitely do this tour again!!!

Thé tour was excellent. I read the previous reviews before I booked this trip and the experience matched the reviews and many more. The tour guide, Charlie, was superb and very accommodating making the tour very personalized to our needs. He truly made a difference in our understanding of the Bahamas and we truly appreciate the patience and kindness he had on us to make our trip memorable . We highly recommend Charlie to anyone !

Firstly, I have to say a big thank you to Mamma Gal for touring us! Our flight was cancelled and I reached out to Mamma Gal about our situation. They immediately responded with two other days in which they can reschedule the tour for us which was greatly appreciated with everything I had been going through that day with the airline. Secondly, I have to thank our tour guide for his patience! With all of the hassle, I had forgotten that we had to meet him in front of the hotel and he was waiting for us for an hour! He was definitely pleasant about it and provided us with a great experience nonetheless.

We took this cultural tour as our first day excursion for our honeymoon and it was amazing! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly; we had a great time! We tried the conch cans the watermelon daiquiri at Jenny’s which was delicious. We found a conch shell and a sand dollar at the beach and lots of other souvenirs from the little market stores. We loved that it was a private tour and it the guide was very dedicated to allowing us to have a good time.

The perfect excursion for your day in Freeport! From the booking conversation with Charlie to the pick-up by Bradshaw they did everything right. Bradshaw was our guide and driver for a wonderfully personalized visit to Freeport. He made us feel like friends coming over for a visit. No rush, no hustle, and great conversation. We experienced the true hospitality of Freeport.

We booked this trip after reading TripAdvisor reviews. The tour guide Charlie picked us up right at the cruise port and off we went in an air conditioned van. We saw so many parts of the island in our three hour tour. We saw where the locals lived in their ancestral neighborhoods and the impact hurricanes have had in recent years. We collected conch shells discarded by fishermen on 8 Mile Rocks. We drank banana daiquiris at Miss Jenny’s and walked the beach in Port Lacaya. If you are looking for an excursion that is enjoyable and relaxed this is a great choice. Charlie is so proud of his culture and country and is willing to share this with visitors. Charlie is very aware of times that travelers need to be back on board cruise ships so don’t be afraid of booking this tour with a short port call. Charlie is THE man—thank you for a great day!
Mamma Gal Native Experience is a MUST in Freeport!

If you’re visiting Freeport, any tour with Charlie as your tour guide is going to be well worth your time and money. He is incredibly knowledgeable and showed my family a true native experience in Freeport. Not only is Charlie a wonderful tour guide, but he is also just a truly amazing person. The Mamma Gal native experience is a must if you’re visiting Freeport!

Charlie was wonderful, and adjusted our day based on our interests. He took us to a marketplace where we tried a bahamian drink and conch fritters, to a beach where we collected shells, and another beach to swim at, he also brought us to a liquor store at our request to find some banana rum! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time with our driver/guide Mr. Bradshaw. He works with Charlie and was AWESOME. He didn't rush us around the island, answered all of our questions, took us to a couple of his favourite spots outside of the tour, and waited for us while we shopped/swam/explored/etc. It was AMAZING and I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone who might be strapped for time while in Freeport. We were on a cruise ship and still felt like we had a FULL day experience. Highly recommended! :-)
Entertaining & Interesting Tour - Charlie is Awesome!

Charlie is a fantastic tour guide - we would highly recommend this tour. Pick up was convenient and close to the cruise dock. Charlie was on time and easy to find. We enjoyed a fun and interesting day touring many different parts of the island, and we learned so much from Charlie's knowledge and insights. He customized the trip based on our interests, and he added many small details that made this an amazing day for all 8 of us. Freeport was a great island to visit, and Charlie made it one of our favorite excursions! (This tour is a great option if too much walking is a concern.)

Best part was visiting the local market. 30 min at the beach was not high on my wish list; no chairs. Unless you swam there was nothing to do. Denise our driver was great, but the van we were in had seen it’s better days. AC didn’t keep up with the summer heat.
